In honor of World Ocean Day, Surf Bus Foundation is hosting a fundraiser to bring more Los Angeles youth to the beach! The buck stops with us--it's our job to educate and inspire through shared STOKE and we do this by teaching at-risk youth to surf. We believe that the more people who interact with the ocean, the more they will care to protect what they love: THE SEA! This is important more than ever as we deal with the repercussions of climate change and urban run-off in our coastal areas. We will be raffling off surf goodies, offering beverages and snacks, and showing a surf movie that continues to inspire us on our own surf journeys around the sun. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for a new "Surf Bus" to haul surf gear and equipment for all the students we serve.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All ages are welcome! This is a family event--a screening of a surf movie suitable for all ages. Tickect purchase is a donation directly to Surf Bus Foundation and includes a goodie bag and ONE raffle ticket (ticket price is a write-off less the value of the door prizes) . There will be additional raffle tickets to purchase and prizes offered up all evening long. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is a parking behind Vidiots accessible from Pico and from 3rd street. There is also ample metered street parking (meters are off at 6pm). There is also parking available at the Civic Center lot off of 4th street across from Santa Monica High School.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please wear comfortable attire--it's movie night! There are chairs for eveyone in the Vidiots theater and if you want an extra pillow or a blanket for the extra cozy factor, do bring your own. Shoes are optional--we're surfers.
